Toronto-Specific Tips
Raccoons and hawks. Toronto's wildlife is a real danger to lost pet birds. Time is critical — most successful reunions happen in the first 48 hours.
High-rise balconies. If your bird flew from a condo, it may have landed on a neighbouring balcony. Contact your building management to post in the building group or send a building-wide email.
Parks. Toronto's ravine system and parks (High Park, Rouge Park, Tommy Thompson) are common landing spots. Ask other birders and dog walkers if they have seen your bird.
Weather. Canadian winters are lethal for escaped tropical birds. In cold weather, every hour counts. Post immediately and search aggressively.
Report your lost bird on our portal right now. Submit a report — it only takes 2 minutes, and matching subscribers will be alerted instantly.
