Cockatiels contact-call loudly when separated from their flock. Listen at dawn and dusk, call back with a familiar whistle or the bird's name, and set up a lure station with its own cage and favourite food.
Tame cockatiels that make it through the first night are frequently recovered days — sometimes a week or more — later. Stay consistent and keep your listing fresh.
They often land high on rooftops, tall trees, and hydro wires and stay put when scared. Bring binoculars, scan upward, and search a widening radius over the following days.
